Our lab advances the design and analysis of electrified aircraft through physics-based modeling and multidisciplinary analysis and optimization. Using the open-source Future Aircraft Sizing Tool (FAST), we collaborate with NASA’s Electrified Aircraft Propulsion (EAP) program and the Electrified Powertrain Flight Demonstration (EPFD) Project to evaluate next-generation propulsion architectures. By performing detailed sizing, performance prediction, and technology trade studies, we help identify the key parameters and design choices that drive efficiency, integration feasibility, and mission-level performance.
