Emma is an undergraduate student at the university of Michigan majoring aerospace engineering expecting to graduate in April 2024. She is very interested in sustainable aviation and aircraft operations. Emma joined the research team to learn more about sustainable aviation and how it can be implemented into the commercial aircraft industry.

At Michigan, she is the propulsion lead and pilot of the Human Powered Submarine team, working on counter rotating propeller systems and optimizing propeller design. The team currently has the fastest sub in the world. Emma is also part of Michigan’s Women in Aerospace group WAA and the aerospace honor society SGT.

Outside of aerospace, Emma enjoys painting, running, and going to the beach.
