2025 IEEE/AIAA ITEC+EATS

IDEAS Lab members and collaborators presented work at the 2025 IEEE/AIAA Transportation Electrification Conference and Electric Aircraft Technologies Symposium (ITEC+EATS) in Anaheim, California. The papers focused on hybrid-electric aircraft operations, airline network fleet assignment, and fuel-cell aircraft design exploration.

Conference papers from the lab and collaborators included:

• Energy and Power Management Optimization for Sequential Daily Operations in Regional Hybrid-Electric Aircraft - Emma Cassidy, Yipeng Liu, Max Li, Kathryn Kirsh, and Gokcin Cinar.
• Full Airline Network Fleet Assignment Model with Hybrid Electric Aircraft Uptake - Armaan Kamat, Ben Chan, Aayush Sharma, Haochen Wu, Emma Cassidy, Kathryn Kirsch, Gokcin Cinar, and Max Z. Li.
• Design Space Exploration and Performance Analysis of Low Temperature PEM Fuel Cell Propulsion Aircraft - Yi-Chih Wang, Swapnil Sarjerao Jagtap, Blake Moffitt, Jennifer Hallbach, and Gokcin Cinar.

The presentations connected aircraft-level design questions with operational constraints, including charging, fuel-cell performance, energy management, and fleet assignment decisions for more sustainable aviation systems.
