Triết Hồ

PhD student and Graduate Research Assistant

University of Michigan

Triết is a 1st year Ph.D. student in the IDEAS Lab. His research interest is the intersection of machine learning and computational aircraft design. More specifically, he is focused on applying machine learning to Multidisciplinary Design Optimization (MDO) for electrified aircraft. He currently contributes to the AACES initiative.

Triết received his bachelor’s degree from UC Irvine in only three years. Not only did he excel in his academics, but he also established himself as a coursework wizard, where he continuously tutored his fellow classmates in their studies. His legacy lives on, where, to this day, “Triết Hồ” is a common name in the halls of the Aero/Mech engineering department at UCI!

Outside of academia, Triết is interested in personal finance and the culinary sciences. He is particularly adept at convincing his peers to start saving for retirement early in their careers! For fun, he enjoys reading comic books and listening to audiobooks.
