Junhwi Park is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at the University of Michigan. His research interests include conceptual and preliminary aircraft design, AI-augmented aerospace systems design, and electric propulsion and thermal management systems. His current research focuses on AI-augmented aircraft design and AI-enabled Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).

Prior to joining the University of Michigan, Junhwi received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Aerospace Engineering from Seoul National University in South Korea. During his graduate studies, Junhwi developed integrated design methodologies for electric propulsion systems, including battery, fuel cell, and thermal management systems, and applied them to the design and optimization of eVTOL aircraft.

In his free time, Junhwi enjoys running and swimming.
