Dillon Agrawal is a senior pursuing a B.S.E. in Aerospace Engineering (minor in Computer Science) at the University of Michigan. His work in the IDEAS Lab consists of AI-augmented aircraft design and optimization. His interests include aerodynamics, controls, aircraft design and performance, and programming, and he is passionate about sustainable aviation as well as supersonic flight. During the summer of 2024, Dillon worked with Seattle-based tech startup APiJET, LLC on their flightpath optimization software Digital Winglets, which aims to reroute aircraft in real time for fuel savings in the civil aviation industry. His role included providing the team with technical insight and aerospace engineering knowledge in order to create Aircraft Performance Models, which are used in the optimization algorithm.

At Michigan, Dillon is an active member of both Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society and Sigma Gamma Tau Aerospace Engineering Honor Society, regularly participating in community service events for both organizations.

Outside of school, Dillon enjoys practicing martial arts, playing the piano, and playing chess. He has practiced both karate and piano for 16 years and recently earned the rank of Master in Tang Soo Do.
